Sr. QA/QC expert with drilling knowledge

 

Some competency requirements wed be looking for:

 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Custodian of the Audit, verification and QA plan
  • Coordinates 3rd party TPI inspectors (manufacturing, maintenance of tools, tool and equipment test activities,.) of a QA/QC plan for the campaign incl. (but not limited to): Audit and verification plan, 3rd party audits on manufacturing and maintenance activities related to drilling and completion equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment (hoses, lifting, containers, units, tools) are within certification and comply with the relevant standards / rig and class requirements
  • Coordinates and manages the auditors and inspections plans to ensure equipment load outs are not delayed. Closely liaises with the logistic coordinator and the DSI and contractors to achieve this.
  • Issues and follows up on NCRs related to QA/QC issues
  • Responsible to manage and coordinate inspection and quality assurance for equipment, including the review of Supplier Inspection & Test Plans / Service Quality Plans where required.
  • Provide engineers with clear and transparency QAQC requirements for the work programs that they manage.
  • Assistance in planning, conducting and reporting on both internal and external Quality Audits and reviews.
  • Evaluating suppliers for Quality, including capability and reviewing quality systems effectiveness (ISO9000, ISO9001, API Q1 and API Q2)
  • Proactive in delivering risk-based Quality in accordance with the requirements of the Wells Manuals, Contract Requirements and any project specific quality plans.
  • Provides verification and reporting of corrective actions from Audits and Non-conformances both in suppliers and internally using company processes.
  • Review of Quality documentation / Procedures / Specifications and to ensure that they are compliant to the required levels, providing trouble free performance to OMV New Zealand.
  • Coordinate a team of QA personnel to:
  • Verify and witness ITP/QCP/SOP for equipment used on the well are executed correctly and contractor is performing all required NDT, Visual, dimensional inspections, gauging and applicable equipment function and pressure tests.
  • Review and ensure that Drill String / OCTG items used on the well are compliant with relevant standards, DS1, NS-2, NS-1, API (raw materials, manufacturing, machining, and threading) and OMV New Zealand PO requirements.
  • Perform surveillance of inspection activities on drillstring equipment to relevant specifications
  • including but not limited to: DS1, NS-2, API witness and monitor Cleaning, VTI, EMI, NDT, Dimensional, Traceability, Preservation and Reporting. Ensure all equipment being used is correct, in calibration and personnel are qualified and competent.
  • Verify build sheets and witness / monitor assembly of BHA, Testing, and Completion sub-assemblies.
  • Provide final reports the equipment is in compliance with client specifications and requirements.
  • Witness / Monitor the inspections / test and build of Liner Hanger Systems. Verify correct arrangement, pressure testing and shear pinning of the tools to be in accordance with QCP, OEM Specifications.
  • Witness / Monitor the assembly / disassembly / testing for specialist equipment (PDM, MWD, LWD, Jars, PBL subs, and RSS). Verify compliance to ITP, Specifications, and client requirements.
  • Witness / Monitor inspections and stack up testing of Well head and X-mas tree systems, review and verify documentation packages, COC, MTC, Inspection & Test reports. Verify critical dimensions and testing in accordance with OEM, approved SOP, and client requirements.
  • Verify that all lifting equipment and CCU supplied by the third party is in certification, and compliant with client Lifting Equipment requirements. Perform physical checks to confirm compliance.
  • Load out, and back load, checks made on all equipment either provided by third party, or from OMV Petrom stock. Checks to ensure items are as per call outs / back load manifests, and that the specified equipment is fit for purpose and complete with inspection/certification records.
  • Visit Machine Shop facilities to verify any manufacturing or repairs are as per the required
  • specifications, equipment is in calibration and all testing and gauging is performed by competent personnel.
  • Witness equipment strip down at contractors facility in case of failure.
  • Provide daily job report recording work performed and inspections completed. Report shall contain non-compliances (NCR), and tracking of agreed remedial plans.
