Receiving and Dispatch Clerk (Vegetable Oil Extraction Plant) – Wote, Makueni
We are seeking an experienced Receiving/Dispatch Clerk to manage the efficient receiving and dispatch of products in a vegetable oil extraction plant. This role involves ensuring the accurate transfer of stock, coordinating with various teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accurate, safe, and efficient stock transfers during loading/offloading of trucks.
- Receive and prepare work orders, monitor jobs in progress, and inform personnel about any logistic problems.
- Liaise with quality control, security, and warehouse/stores in charge to ensure receiving and dispatch are done as per set procedures.
- Monitor stock movement into trucks, verify load and documentation, and sign off with the driver and security.
- Monitor and schedule work for crews to ensure efficiency.
- Liaise with logistics superintendent to ensure the efficient use of trucks, equipment, and resources.
- Dispatch vehicles in accordance with internal procedures.
- Ensure proper arrangement of warehouses in liaison with the warehouse supervisor.
- Ensure proper handling of material handling equipment and tools.
- Adhere to SOPs and company policies during receiving and dispatch processes.
- Comply with health and safety instructions and work in a safe and orderly manner.
- Prepare timely dispatch and receiving reports.
- Work with logistics SPT to prepare accurate dispatch/receiving plans and schedules.
- Ensure safe loading of extracted oil into tankers as per procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist the health and safety committee in identifying hazards and implementing safety recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Storekeeping, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a busy manufacturing/warehousing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and basic stock-taking procedures.
- Knowledge of Firefighting & HSE basics (preferred).
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
